Kelly and Margaret Baggs Endowment Fund

Established in 2019 by the will of Ronald L. Shoemaker. The fund will provide funding for the construction and maintenance of Greenway Trail in Jay County or a similar program for outdoor exercise or recreation. Fred M. Stultz Endowment Fund

Established in 2002 by a trust created upon Mr. Stultz’s death in 1985. A Jay County native, Fred was a longtime Jay County farmer who was also active in local politics. He sold a portion of his land holdings for the creation of the Jay County Conservation Club. Category: Unrestricted Funds.

William R. Sudhoff Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 2002 by Jim and Pat Sudhoff in memory of their son, a 1985 graduate of Jay County High School and a graduate of Indiana University. Orla L. & Ruth E. Tharp Educational Fund

Established in 2013 through the will of Ruth Tharp Estate. Orla Tharp was the cashier at the Peoples Band and Ruth was a homemaker.  The fund shall provide scholarships to Jay County High graduates. Category: Scholarships

Virgil B. and Josephine H. Thomas Educational Fund

Established in 1999 by the will of Betty Kovaluk in memory of her parents. This fund is used to support the educational programs of the Foundation, including the Care and Share Philanthropy Program for third grade, the sixth grade College Visitation Program, and the Teacher Creativity Mini-Grant Program. Makayla Tipton Memorial Fund

Established in 2017 by Spencer and Jamie Tipton as a memorial to their daughter. Makayla was known for her love of people (especially children) as well as her hard work and character. Mark and Marianne Valentine Family Endowment Fund

Established in 2024  by Mark and Marianne Valentine. This unrestricted endowment will provide support to Jay County organization under the direction of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. The Valentines are longtime Jay County residents and Mark is a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
