Robert Holley Endowment Fund

Elizabeth A. Hudson Endowment

Established in 2008 by Elizabeth Hudson. The purpose of the fund shall be to provide support for mammogram screenings for women who meet the designated criteria set forth in the fund agreement. Category: Restricted

Zackery W. Hummer Memorial Fund

Established in 2011 by Charity Leist Cummiskey in memory of her son, a 2008 Jay County High School graduate, who died in an automobile accident in August 2011. The fund is to provide scholarships to students who display similar character traits as Zack: honesty, respect for others, and a strong work ethic. Category: Restricted Funds

Jay County Historical Society Fund First Financial Bank

Established in 1995 by Elizabeth A. Starbuck, sister of Foundation co-founder W. Haynes Starbuck. Elizabeth was a descendent of the Haynes family, one of Jay County’s oldest families. The fund is to provide operating support for the Historical Society. Category: Restricted Funds.

Dr. Bob Morrison Memorial Swim Fund

Established in 2007 by Rob & Mindy Weaver in memory of Bob. The purpose of the fund is to provide support to Jay County swimming organizations, including but not limited to, the Jay County High School boys and girls swim teams, and the summer and winter swim clubs. Category: Restricted Funds

Catherine Ochs Trust

Established in 1986 as a memorial to Catherine’s interest in the improvement of medical care in Jay County. Catherine was a retired nurse and asked that the fund be used for dietary needs of the hospital. Category: Restricted Funds

Hugh N. and Sara E. Ronald Trust

Established in 1994 by the will of Mrs. Ronald, an active civic leader and the widow of Hugh N. Ronald, co-founder of The Portland Foundation. Sara was a lifelong patron of the arts.  Sara dedicated the fund to the Jay County Arts Council, now Arts Place. Category: Restricted Funds

Ronald L. Shoemaker Fund

Established in 2019 by the will of Ronald L. Shoemaker. The fund will provide funding for the construction and maintenance of Greenway Trail in Jay County or a similar program for outdoor exercise or recreation.
